User Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: May 12, 2026

Maesot Market lets you sign in with Facebook. When you do, we receive limited profile information (your name, email address, and Facebook user ID) so we can create or look up your account. If you would like us to delete that information — along with the rest of your account data — you can use either of the two options below.

Option 1 — Delete from your account page (recommended)

  1. Sign in at /account/signin using the same method you signed up with (Facebook, Google, or email).
  2. Go to your profile page.
  3. Scroll to the "Danger zone" section and press "Request account deletion".
  4. Confirm the request when prompted.

As soon as you confirm, sign-in is disabled for your account. After a 30-day grace period (so you can change your mind), our team permanently removes:

  • Your name, email address, phone number, password, and saved addresses.
  • Your Facebook user ID and any other OAuth identifiers we received from sign-in providers.
  • Authentication tokens, back-in-stock subscriptions, and abandoned checkout reservations linked to your account.

Past orders, bulk requests, and customer-support messages are de-linked from you (anonymised) but kept for accounting, tax, and legal-compliance purposes, as required by law.

Option 2 — Email or message us

If you can't sign in (for example, you lost access to the Facebook account you signed up with), send us a deletion request through our contact form. Please include:

  • The email address on your Maesot Market account.
  • A short note saying you want your account and personal data deleted.
  • If you signed up with Facebook, mention that — it helps us locate the right account.

We will verify the request (usually by replying to the email address on file) and then start the same 30-day deletion process described above. We typically respond within one business day.

Cancelling a request

While the 30-day window is still open, you can ask us to cancel the deletion request through the contact form and we will restore your account. Once the 30 days have passed, the deletion is final and cannot be undone.

What we keep, and why

Even after deletion, applicable law (for example, tax and accounting regulations) requires us to retain certain order and transaction records for a defined period — typically seven years. These records are anonymised: they are no longer linked to your name, email, phone number, or social-login identifiers. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
